Greenville Council to make adjustments

Greenville – There will be some changes starting tonight at the Greenville City Council meeting. The format for the regular sessions of the council is changing. Public comment will now be held at the beginning of each meeting around 6 p.m. rather than 6:30 p.m.

New apartments could come to Greenville

Greenville – The city of Greenville is about to give its stamp of approval on a lot of new apartments. The City Council is expected Tuesday to pass resolutions in support of two proposed multi-family complexes.

Greenville Overpass project seeks funding

Greenville – Greenville may be seeking a loan from the state to help build a bridge. The city could ask for as much as $2 million to help cover a gap in funding for the Highway 36/Wesley St. Overpass project.

Man sentenced in September robbery

Commerce – A plea has been entered in a Commerce robbery. After pleading guilty to the September holdup, Joseph Scott was sentenced to probation and ordered to stay away from the victim in the case.

Local woman pleads guilty to scam

Hunt County – A Hunt County woman won't be able to use the internet to make money anymore. Michelle Lynn Cleveland of Lone Oak is now on probation after pleading guilty to charges relating to counterfeit ticket sales.

Greenville – An arrest has been made in connection to a Greenville bank robbery. The man is thought to have robbed the American National Bank on Thursday while armed with an ice pick.

Improvements to TAMU-C Field House

Commerce – Future graduates at Texas A&M University-Commerce will be able to enjoy cooler commencement conditions. Crews are in the process of installing permanent air conditioning units at the Field House.

The project is expected to be complete by March, meaning spring graduates and attendants will be able to enjoy the new conditions.
