Hunt/Rockwall County accident

Hunt, Rockwall County – An investigation continues into a three truck chain reaction accident along Interstate 30. One Hunt County man was killed in the crash. The crash took place on Wednesday near the Hunt/Rockwall County line.

Jet plane parts may be in Hunt County

Hunt County – Law enforcement officials are asking residents to look for parts of a jet plane. Engine components from a Southwest Airlines flight are thought to have fallen from the plane while flying over Hunt County last month. No one on the flight was injured and the plane returned safely back to Dallas after the incident.

Fire drill test at A&M Commerce

– A surprise fire drill at the A&M Commerce Administration Building was issued Wednesday to test staff members. A small concern was that staff members gathered too close to the building while outside. Overall, officials were very impressed by the staff's response time to the drill, but feel small improvements can be made.

<B>Commerce construction boom continues</B>

Commerce continues to experience major makeovers.

Three areas in Commerce are currently experiencing major makeovers. New facilities are being constructed for both St. Joseph Catholic Church and Lone Star Pizza Works, while renovations are underway at Texas A&M University-Commerce's Gee Lake.

Concrete was poured Wednesday, December 19, for the new St. Joseph Catholic Church. Monolithic dome technology, a strong disaster resistant super-insulated steel reinforced concrete structure, will be used to construct the new building.

Greenville – A live nativity will be presented Thursday. It will be the 41st annual live nativity program at Ridgecrest Baptist church in Greenville. It runs Thursday through Christmas Eve.

Crime suspects look to leave jail

Greenville – Local robbery and burglary suspects seek release from jail. Jason Bernard Allen and Quinitin Deon Morehead were each indicted in September on one count of burglary of a building with intent to commit theft.

Greenville – A fire has temporarily displaced a Greenville family. Wednesday afternoon's fire is believed to have begun in the family's kitchen. No injuries were reported.

Greenville woman sentence following guilty plea

Greenville – A guilty plea has been heard in connection with a high speed chase in North Hunt County. Michele Lynn Blunt of Greenville has received a jail sentenced for the incident.
