Murder suspect to spend Thanksgiving in jail

Greenville – A capital murder suspect won't have the luxury of spending Thanksgiving with his family. A state district judge again took no action Monday regarding John William Trotman's $1 million bond. Trotman III has been charged in the alleged murder of Ryon Rhoden of Greenville.

Charges still remain for three men in Commerce robbery

Commerce – Charges have been dropped in a reported Commerce armed robbery. Three men from Commerce, Greenville and Emory had been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Some charges still remain.

Year sentence in Hunt County animal cruelty case

Hunt County – An animal cruelty verdict has been handed down in Hunt County. Terrence Mouton has been sentenced to one year in Hunt County jail for abusing a dozen pit-bull dogs. In addition, Mouton has also been charged with tampering with evidence during the investigation.
