TAWAKONI - Area lakes were among the beneficiaries of this week’s rains, with Lake Tawakoni now less than a half a foot below its fill stage. In December the lake was down more than six feet. 

QUINLAN - One man is dead and another in critical condition following a two vehicle wreck Thursday morning in South Hunt County.

GREENVILLE - A Greenville man remains in custody on a charge of deadly conduct following a drive by shooting over the weekend. 

GREENVILLE - Erin Elizabeth Saari has pleaded not guilty to her involvement in an alleged case of child abuse in Hunt County.

GREENVILLE - A Caddo Mills man who allegedly robbed an elderly man of donuts and then threatened to kill a police officer is in court Wednesday.

GREENVILLE - An arraignment hearing is scheduled today for a Hunt County man who failed to show up last month for his sentencing on an assault charge. 

The Hunt County Grand Jury is scheduled to meet Friday for its’ monthly session.

A California man is scheduled to go on trial for carrying more than two pounds of heroin in his shoes.

The Court of Appeals in Texarkana is scheduled in April to hear the case of Chad Michael Hayes. The McKinney man was convicted by a jury in April 2011 of 17 felony counts.
