Brad is a 1979 graduate of Lake Highlands High School, and attended Richland College in Dallas and East Texas State University. He’s been married since 1994 to his wife, Vida, and has three children; Nick, 21, Jaylynn, 12, and Jason, 5, and one granddaughter, Lauryn, 3. He’s a crazed fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks, and the 2011 ALCS champ Texas Rangers.

As a journalist, Brad is a beat writer and go-to reporter for the Greenville Herald-Banner, as well as a log-time contributor to KETR News.

Possible zoning change for bakery

City of Greenville officials still intend to meet this month to consider a zoning change for a Collin Street Bakery.

The Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council had previously been scheduled to convene in a joint session November 8 to consider the request, for a site situated near Interstate 30 and Moulton Street.

The plan now is for the Planning and Zoning Commission to conduct a public hearing November 21.

Graham Park could get bigger

Graham Park

Just north of Graham Park in Greenville is a stretch of undeveloped property which stretches from Sockwell Boulevard almost to the Municipal Reservoir System.

The Greenville City Council intends to vote Tuesday to keep the land just the way it is, forever, and to add it into Graham Park as part of the project to renovate the facility.

The vote to dedicate the open space park land is scheduled during Tuesday’s regular session, starting at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building downtown.
