Dr. David Hervás

Latin Soul Host

David was born in Madrid, Spain, and moved to the United States in 1999 to attend school. After teaching Spanish in a variety of educational settings including a New Orleans middle school, UT-Arlington, and Tulane University, he accepted a teaching job with the literature and languages department at A&M-Commerce. It was at Tulane University that Hervas found his ear for radio at the university's student-run radio station, WTUL. He then went on to host "The Latin Journey" at WUTL from 2003-2005. The program has since evolved into "Latin Soul," airing Tuesdays from 9 to 11 p.m., and features Latin Jazz, as well as other Latin rhythms and international jazz styles.
