Jerrod Knight

General Manager

Jerrod Knight graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce in May of 2005, ready to take on numerous roles at prominent radio organizations, which have included Susquehanna-Pfaltzgraff (now Cumulus,) Omni Communications Corporation, and The Ranch Radio Network. With experience on-the-air, and in every position behind-the-scenes, Knight rejoined KETR in December 2008 as director of programming.

As general manager, Knight oversees all aspects of station programming, news operations, individual and corporate development efforts, business and budget planning and operations, and technical operations. In addition to being the station's webmaster, he is also a regular on-air and online news and opinion contributor, and is the technical producer and co-host for The President's Perspective.

Knight also manages the relationships between KETR and NPR, American Public Media, the FCC, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, among others.

A member of the Commerce Rotary Club since 2010, Knight was named Rotarian of the Year in 2012. He's also led and contributed to teams in radio broadcasting that have won numerous awards in newscasting, production, web design from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters and the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters, and even a Marconi (KPLX, 2003.)

Broadcasts begin at 6pm with upbeat tunes and info about upcoming games in Northeast Texas!

At 6:30, The Big Friday Night Scoreboard Program is on the air, running down upcoming games and talking to area sports writers and coaches prior to kickoff. Likely the most involved high-school pre-game program around!

Kickoff is at 7:30, with play-by-play and color commentary of the Commerce Tigers, interspersed with live updated scores from games around the region.

After the game, pick up the phone and call 800-882-KETR, as The Big Friday Night Scoreboard Program rolls along, taking calls from players, cheerleaders, coaches, parents, band members and fans!

An award is being offered in connection to an armed robbery and stabbing in Greenville.

Greenville – Hunt County Crime Stoppers are asking for information leading to the arrest of the two responsible for last month's crime, which occurred at a convenient store on Wesley Street. The two suspects are described as one black male, 5'4'' and about 130 lbs, and one black female, 5'0'' and about 100 lbs. Hunt County Crime Stoppers can be reached at 903-457-2929.

A&M System Chancellor visits Commerce to start Presidential search
