As KETR Operations Manager, Kevin Jefferies is responsible for making sure you hear what you’re supposed to be hearing on FM 88.9 and  Since 1998, KETR listeners have heard Kevin in multiple roles.  Kevin also has many behind the scenes responsibilities, including the supervision of student broadcasters.  Kevin is a graduate of the Radio-Television program at Texas A&M University-Commerce.  A nearly lifelong resident of northeast Texas, Kevin is an alum of Ford High School in Quinlan.

Dallas Comic-Con presented the annual "Fan Days" over the weekend, drawing thousands of fans and cosplayers to the Irving Convention Center. While the actual Dallas Comic-Con is held in May and has moved to the much larger Dallas Convention Center, the venue in Irving is more suited to the several smaller events being held throughout the *CRASH*

The Texas Department of Transportation began crack seal road maintenance last week in Rains County, 

  and the work will continue across the region through November.  The project will progress through Hunt, Hopkins, Franklin, Red River, Delta, Lamar, Fannin and Grayson counties, in that order, as the crack seal work is sequentially completed.

  Those old, folding "Watch for Ice on Bridge" signs will be going the way of the Dodo.  While not a bad idea to have a sign that could be active when necessary, Texas drivers know the reality became that these signs, once unfolded, rarely were folded back up.

Which led many of us to be hyper-vigilant for that elusive "ice on bridge" in the middle of the summer and triple-digit temperatures.  Mainly so we could sit on it and cool off a bit.
