As KETR Operations Manager, Kevin Jefferies is responsible for making sure you hear what you’re supposed to be hearing on FM 88.9 and  Since 1998, KETR listeners have heard Kevin in multiple roles.  Kevin also has many behind the scenes responsibilities, including the supervision of student broadcasters.  Kevin is a graduate of the Radio-Television program at Texas A&M University-Commerce.  A nearly lifelong resident of northeast Texas, Kevin is an alum of Ford High School in Quinlan.

Lone Star Conference Men's Basketball championship bracket for 2015

The Lions were set to be the #4 seed regardless of tonight's outcome, but a loss to rival Tarleton is not the outcome the team wanted heading into the Lone Star Conference Championship tournament.

The men will face West Texas A&M on Thursday, March 5th at 8:30pm on the second day of the Lone Star Conference Tournament.

STEPHENVILLE- With Lone Star Conference Tournament seeding on the line, the A&M-Commerce women's basketball team had to wait a full day to play for their fate, as the game for both men and women were moved from Saturday to Sunday due to the winter weather that has bogged down much of Texas all week long.

Once the game began, it became clear the Tarleton TexAnns would dominate the game. A 55-19 lead at the half led to a 97-53 victory for Tarleton.

The A&M-Commerce Track & Field team picked up their first conference championship in 48 years Sunday, Feb. 28 2015

LUBBOCK, TEXAS – A&M-Commerce captured its first LSC Track and Field Championship since 1967 and its first indoor title in school history, as the men compiled a score of 245 points to win the 2015 title.

"It was truly a team effort," said head coach Tom Dibbern, "Some scored the big points, some scored the little points, but they all added up. We scored in every event, and that was huge."

A district game that had significant meaning for playoff position, the Commerce Tigers traveled to face the Caddo Mills Foxes to end the regular season in 2014. Commerce's starting quarterback Tre Wilson and WR/CB Tre Wilson honored their father Mendy Wilson who had passed away during the week by wearing jerseys to honor him and by winning a thrilling game in overtime.

The A&M-Commerce Lions vs the Tarleton Texans on 11-8-14. In a roller-coaster game, the Lions fell behind 28-21 at the end of the first half. Receiving to start the 2nd half, the Lions were set near midfield after a Tarleton penalty and 4 plays later had tied the score at 28.

KETR visited another small, local community for its Game of the Week to call the Muenster Hornets at the Cumby Trojans. A classic rural Texas football game, both teams showed strong defense in the redzone and the halftime score was 7-0 Muenster.
