As KETR Operations Manager, Kevin Jefferies is responsible for making sure you hear what you’re supposed to be hearing on FM 88.9 and  Since 1998, KETR listeners have heard Kevin in multiple roles.  Kevin also has many behind the scenes responsibilities, including the supervision of student broadcasters.  Kevin is a graduate of the Radio-Television program at Texas A&M University-Commerce.  A nearly lifelong resident of northeast Texas, Kevin is an alum of Ford High School in Quinlan.

ROCKWALL- After two rounds of open forum, over 30 people addressing the council, and almost four hours of city government in action, Rockwall Mayor Jim Pruitt’s proposed ordinance to regulate public restrooms according to biological sex failed when no other councilman seconded Pruitt’s call for a vote.

Joe Dunn and his wife Donna have used this smoker (nicknamed "The Beast") to feed many homeless folks through the years that would otherwise have little, if anything to eat. This week, Luke and Joe tell about how some wild pork was transformed into many tasty meals for folks that greatly appreciated the effort.

Larry says the largemouth bass spawn at Fork is still a couple weeks away but he is enjoying some great bass fishing at Lake Welsh, a 1,200 acre warm water reservoir where bass have had time to recover from the spawn and are currently on an aggressive bite. Because of a lower than normal water temperature for this time of year, the striper bite has slowed but... catfishing is awesome! Sparks discusses how he rigs jug lines for big blues and catches bunches of good eating channel catfish on baited holes using punch bait.

This week, Luke's guest is waterfowl guide Rick Hrncir with Family Affair Guide Service (  Rick talks about hunting snow geese during the special Conservation season which is currently underway. Rick is currently hunting some large concentrations of snow geese on the farm country south of Corsicana.

Veteran broadcast team Charlie Chitwood and Brock Callaway handled the call for an historic season for the A&M-Commerce Lions. The Lions earned the Lone Star Conference title for the second year in a row (first time the Lions have accomplished that feat since 1959) and an NCAA Division II Playoff appearance (first time since since 1995).
