Matt Meinke

Notably Texan Host/Production Director

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.

The Governor of Texas recently declared October as "Texas Music Month."

The Whitewright Tigers started off their game strong against Tom Bean, but the Tomcats mounted a comeback in the second half of KETR's special Game of the Week.

The Tigers celebrated Homecoming at Commerce's Memorial Stadium, hosting the Bonham Purple Warriors. The first half was all Commerce, but things got interesting after the halftime break.

By day, the members of Greenville's Grin-N-Bearit are educators, administrators, antique archeologists, and sales professionals. When they are not working, the band members volunteer their time to write original songs and scripts for KETR's "Grin-N-Bearit Show", heard on the first Wednesday of each month.
