GREENVILLE - Greenville City officials are preparing to close a popular park ahead of a major restoration effort.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled Friday at Graham Park, just days after council members are scheduled to award a $1 million bid for the renovation. The park is expected to be closed beginning the week of April 2 and through the summer, with improvements to be completed by this fall.
Sports Facility Construction Company is expected to be awarded bid for work on the project during the council’s meeting Tuesday. The city was awarded a $500,000 grant for improvements to the site, and is providing a $500,000 match.
