On April 3rd, 2012, Severe Thunderstorms and Tornadoes followed a path of destruction through the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and north and east from there across Texas.  KETR followed these storms from west of DFW until they had ended east of the primary coverage area, meaning over 5 straight hours of on-air, uninterrupted weather coverage.  KETR took calls from listeners with eye-witness reports, kept close contact with Emergency Management Officials across the area, tapped into the newly unveiled National Weather Service chat for information before it was even officially released, put reporters into the field for live updates, and even tapped national news reports from NPR for further coverage.

This 20 minute example of coverage begins as the worst of the storm begins to impact Northeast Texas and ends just after a check with national news sources.  Jerrod Knight, Daniel Starks, and Scott Harvey anchor the coverage.
