Mineola – 40-year-old Gregory Lynn Applegate, of Mineola, has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for the sexual assault of his daughter nearly two decades ago.
The crime reportedly occurred from the time Amanda Richardson was ten until the age of 14.
Amanda is now 27, and has written a book on the ordeal, entitled "Saved from Silence: My Journey Back from Childhood Abuse."
