Abuse suspect captured after brief chase

PARIS - A Clarksville man is arrested by Paris Police on warrants for sexual assault of a female child.

39-year-old Christopher Lee Maxwell is alleged to have committed the crimes in his home town.

He was located in Paris and taken into custody following a brief chase on foot, adding an evading arrest charge. The other charges include two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and three counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Clarksville police are still investigating.
