A.C. Williams project moves forward

By Courtney Krisak

Commerce – The new A.C. Williams Elementary School in Commerce is on schedule according to information presented by Claycomb Associates Architects and W.B. Kibler Construction Company Monday.

The structural steel framing for the classroom wings is complete, and contractors have begun to put the masonry veneer on the exterior walls of the classroom wings.

Construction is a third of the way complete, and mechanical ductwork, plumbing, and electrical work are continuing in the classroom wings.

The $14 million dollar facility, to house third through fifth grader, is projected to be complete by fall 2009.
