Commerce – One person was killed and another injured in a one vehicle accident just outside of Commerce over the weekend. 30 year old Krisha Toon of Wolfe City was pronounced dead at the scene and 33 year old Howard Wolf of Commerce was taken to Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville and was listed in stable condition Saturday.
The two were traveling west on Highway 11 about two miles outside of Commerce just after 5am Saturday when the GMC Yukon they were in crossed the road for unknown reasons. The vehicle landed in a ditch on the eastbound side of the highway then struck a private driveway and became airborne. The Yukon rolled several times before coming to a stop and ejected both Toon and Wolf who were not wearing seat belts.
Services for Krisha Toon are scheduled for today through R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home.
Officials are unsure who was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.
