ACS benefit takes in over $5,000

COOPER - The Delta County Chapter of the American Cancer Society had a good showing during a weekend fundraiser. 

Committee volunteer Way Poole says ACS took in just under $6,000.

The event featured both a live and silent auction consisting of various donated items, as well as a cake auction. Community members also took part in a Stew and Chili Cook Off and were entertained with live music.

The Delta County Civic Center was adorned with helium balloons and banners displaying the “Celebrating More Birthdays” theme.
