Alice Reese: Lawless brings Texas Connection

Call it a much more serious version of the Dukes of Hazard, Lawless stars Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy as the infamous Bondurant brothers.

According to Reese, the film is based on the novel “The Wettest County in the World” by Matt Bondurant, a professor at the University of Texas at Dallas, which is about his grandfather and great-uncles in Prohibition-era Franklin County, Virginia.

For a Good Time, Call… is the story of an unlikely pair that starts a phone sex line together in order to make ends meet.

Alice also previews Cosmopolis, starring Twilight’s Robert Pattinson. But she warns this is about as far from a vampire movie as you can get.
