This week on Movie Picks with Alice Reese, Alice reviews Aloha and The Connection. She also gives us a small preview on the summer's expected blockbusters.
Aloha stars Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, and Bill Murray. While Alice found it charming, she said the script was definitely lacking. One major plus is a dance scene for Bill Murray that Alice says is worth the price of admission, but by and large it didn't meet the standards that previous Cameron Crowe films have met. If you like romances with blue-eyed hunks and aren't worried about following a plot, this might be the movie for you. Otherwise, you might skip it.
The Connection is a French-language film that takes a look at the French side of the Oscar-winning movie The French Connection. Jean Dujardin, also seen in The Artist and The Wolf of Wall Street, stars as Pierre Michel who lead the French police magistrate in their lengthy take down of one of the country's most powerful drug rings. Alice thought it was phenomenal.

- Fantastic Four, starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell
