Alumni hosts Annual Golf Classic for Scholar Fund

COMMERCE - The Texas A&M University-Commerce Alumni Association is holding its 42nd Annual Alumni Scholarship Golf Classic on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Sand Hills Golf and Country Club in Commerce.
“Funds raised from the Alumni Scholarship Golf Classic go directly to the Texas A&M University-Commerce Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship Endowment for future and current students of A&M-Commerce,” said Derryle Peace, director of Alumni Relations. “Additionally, the event offers an outstanding opportunity for alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the university to gather for a day of fun and fellowship.”

The schedule is as follows:
•Check-in—11 a.m.
•Shotgun start—12 p.m.
•Dinner and Recognition of Team Winners—6 p.m.

Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place, longest drive and closest to the pin. $10,000 cash will be awarded to every hole-in-one on the 17th hole with $5,000 to the player and $5,000 to the endowment.

Scramble fees are $75 per player, which includes green fees and dinner. Proceeds will be donated to the Legacy Scholarship Endowment. Complete four person teams or partial teams may enter.

Current and former students, faculty, staff and friends are eligible. All participants must be 21 years of age.
