For the second consecutive week, the punter on the Texas A&M University-Commerce football team has been named the Lone Star Conference special teams player of the week. Daniel Swaim, a junior from Kilgore, averaged 42 yards a punt over seven kicks in the Lions 24-7 loss at nationally ranked Tarleton.
In other weekend sports results from A&M-Commerce, volleyball won their second straight home match by defeating Southern Arkansas, while soccer lost to nationally ranked St. Edwards 2-0, and men's cross country finished eighth at A&M-College Station.
