A&M-Commerce basketball bounces along

Commerce – A&M-Commerce basketball remains undefeated at home as both the men's and women's teams took wins over Abilene Christian this weekend.

The 4-1 Lady Lions snatched a 70-66 win over the Abilene Christian Wildcats as Kanani Marshall led the attack with 21 points in the contest. The ladies have now defeated the top two LSC South teams in the pre-season polls with wins over Angelo State and Abilene Christian. The Lady Lions are on the road tomorrow to face Division I Oklahoma State.

The men's teams took care of business as well, ousting Abilene Christian 78-62. Lamar Searight led the team with 21 points and 4 assists, with the A&M-Commerce defense showing up once again and notching 14 points off of Abilene Christian turnovers. The Lions are on a two game road trip this week, facing Eastern New Mexico Thursday and West Texas A&M next Saturday.
