The NCAA has granted two additional years of eligibility for Lions womens guard Tarika Campbell. She missed the 2002-03 and 05-06 season with injuries. Off the court, Campbell will graduate with her bachelor's degree this summer and begin work this fall on her master's.

On the men's side, Lions head coach Sam Walker recently announced the signing of Greenville High standout Kaleb Henderson, who averaged 23 points a game in his senior season. Kaleb joins Brent Stanton, a member of Duncanville's undefeated 5-A state championship team, Plano East grad and TCU transfer Dallas Hunter, Terrell grad and Howard College transfer Jacobi Jackson, Derek Fugate of Sherman, coming here from Paris Junior College, and Southwestern Christian transfer Rashod Brown.
