A&M-Commerce Dean of Students announces new staff

Commerce, TX –

New faces continue to appear at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Deborrah Hebert has announced three hirings.

Quoting Dr. Hebert's announcement:

Leigh Ann Powell will join us on January 28th, as our new Coordinator for Student Disability Resources. She replaces retired Director Frank Perez and Interim Director Josie Davis-George. Leigh Ann has been working with Disability Services with the school system in Lakeland, Florida. Her B.S. is from Florida Southern University and her M.S. is from NOVA Southeastern.

Our new Director of International Student Services, John Mark Jones joins us on January 31st. John Mark will be stepping into the vacancy left by the retirement of Noi Prapan. He comes to us from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. His M.S. is from Marshall University and his B.S. from Louisiana Tech University.

Amber Van comes to us from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She received both her M.S. and B.S. degrees from Indiana State University. Amber will be starting her duties as Coordinator for Greek Life on February 18th, replacing Roy Rasheed who took a new position last July.
