A&M-Commerce expecting even funding for upcoming year

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce –

Early indications show Texas A&M University-Commerce will have even funding for the next year. The state House has funding down, and the Senate has funding up. Those levels should even out when appropriations bills go to committee. University President Dr. Keith McFarland said he would like to have more funding, but A&M-Commerce has been down before, so he'll take even funding and be happy.

MCFARLAND: We'll take that, and be pleased with it and do the best job we can to provide quality education.

Funding for the University likely won't be finalized until the end of the legislative session.
