A&M-Commerce to offer new Master's degree

Dallas – The new Master's in Science in the Art of Teaching at Texas A&M University-Commerce allows for Master's and Teaching certificates to be earned in one year. It is the newest program offered at the Universities Center at Dallas.

"We are proud that A&M-Commerce has chosen to offer the Master's of Science in the Art of Teaching degree in our downtown Dallas location," said Dr. Berri O'Neal, Executive Director of the Universities Center at Dallas, "A new and highly marketable degree, the MSAT offered through A&M-Commerce is a prestigious degree that provides excellent career opportunities and earning potential. Prospective students inquire about Teaching Certificates all the time. It can now be delivered with a Master's in one year. The MSAT is just what the market wants and needs. Its popularity is proving to be phenomenal."

It requires 30 - 36 semester hours (depending on a student's background) to assist professionals in the area of science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). Up to thirty-six hours of graduate credit are required for students without an undergraduate preparation in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
