Commerce – A&M-Commerce University Police Department information officer Jason Bone has been awarded the Larry Fultz Award for Excellence from the Texas Association of College and University Police Administrators. The award recognizes an outstanding police officer in Texas.
Bone is the media liaison for the University Police and works with student reporters at A&M-Commerce each year explaining how to use open records and obtain information. Bone also works with several other campuses in the A&M-System providing consultation with several technical areas for other university police departments.
Bone also has conducted conferences about underage drinking and college crime prevention.
