A&M-Commerce sports summary

Commerce, TX –

The Texas A&M University-Commerce football team's triple overtime win Saturday at Southeastern Oklahoma resulted in two Lions receiving weekly honors from the Lone Star Conference. Quarterback Terry Mayo was the north division's offensive player of the week and kicker Chris Quiroga was special teams player of the week.

Lions soccer won and lost in weekend action, defeating Southwestern Oklahoma 3-1 and falling to nationally ranked Central Oklahoma 6-0.

Lions volleyball played three matches, all which went five games each. A&M-Commerce defeated Southwestern Oklahoma and lost to Missouri Southern and Central Oklahoma.

And Lions men's cross country ran at a Saturday night event in Memphis. The men finished 12th out of 42 teams from all classifications.
