A&M-Commerce student wins prestigious advertising award

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce – An A&M-Commerce student has won a bronze pencil from the One Club of New York. The award is one of the most coveted in advertising. A&M-Commerce senior Angela Mosera won the award for an advertising campaign aimed at convincing consumers to choose pure cane sugar over artificial sweeteners. Only three students won in the design category out of more than 740 entries world-wide.

Mosera was also one of only ten teams of students selected to give a real, live ad pitch to Domino Sugar, the company at the center of the contest this year.

The One Show pencil is an advertising icon and viewed as the standard of great advertising in the industry.
