COLLEGE STATION - A Texas A&M University-Commerce instructor is among 13 system individuals honored as a Regents Professor.
Dr. R.N. Singh is a professor in the department of sociology and criminal justice.
The Board of Regents recently designated a total of 19 professors and administrators as Regents Professor or Regents Fellow for 2010-11.
The award programs were established in 1996 and 1998 to recognize employees who have made exemplary contributions to their university or agency and to the people of Texas. To date, 144 A&M System faculty members have been recognized with the Regents Professor Award and 82 agency professionals have received the Regents Fellow Service Award.
