Greenville – Another exit along Interstate 30 in Greenville will soon close as the Highway 34/Wesley Street overpass project continues.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and its contractor, Austin Bridge and Road, have announced they plan to detour westbound I-30 main lane traffic, a half-mile west of the overpass. Traffic will be detoured onto the north frontage road for approximately one mile, then back onto the interstate's main lanes.
The detour is expected to begin during the week of April 27.
The announcement indicated the detour is necessary to facilitate construction along Interstate 30 over Monty Stratton Parkway and is anticipated to remain in effect for approximately 11 months.
