Another inquiry made into shooting deaths

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Another inquiry has been made into the deaths of two men shot and killed last month by law enforcement officers.

The Greenville Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance announced Thursday it had begun a series of meetings with law enforcement officials from the agencies connected to the shootings, according to Rev. Brian Keith Thomas, President of the Alliance.

The Alliance has already met with Sheriff Randy Meeks, and intents to soon meet with Greenville City Manager Steven Alexander, Police Chief Harold Roseberry and DPS officials.

The NAACP State Conference announced last week that it had also begun an inquiry into the shootings of Edward Markeist Wheaton and Vincent Thomas.
