Commerce – KETR was honored at the Commerce City Council meeting last night as a proclamation was read declaring April 7th as KETR Day in Commerce. Mayor Sheryl Zelhart read the proclamation to commemorate 88-9's 30 years of service to Northeast Texas and to Commerce. KETR started off with just a 10,000 watt signal in 1975, and has gone through many changes since, including moving up to a full power 100,000 watt signal and most recently, beginning to air many nationally recognized National Public Radio and American public Media programs.
