April 7th declared as KETR Day in Commerce

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce – KETR was honored at the Commerce City Council meeting last night as a proclamation was read declaring April 7th as KETR Day in Commerce. Mayor Sheryl Zelhart read the proclamation to commemorate 88-9's 30 years of service to Northeast Texas and to Commerce. KETR started off with just a 10,000 watt signal in 1975, and has gone through many changes since, including moving up to a full power 100,000 watt signal and most recently, beginning to air many nationally recognized National Public Radio and American public Media programs. You can learn more about us on the web at KETR.org.
