East Texas – The Rains Wildcats have continued their impressive season with a win over Bonham in the area playoff contest, taking the game 29-22 Friday. The Wildcats put up two touchdowns in the final 5 minutes to take the victory over the Purple Warriors. Emory-Rains is now set to face Canton, who defeated Gilmer 61-58.
The Wolfe City Wolves were put out of the playoffs by Harleton in the Class A area match. Harleton came out gunning and surprised the Wolves with an effective passing attack. Final score was 28-7, Harleton.
