Area incumbents announce bids for re-election

– Aaron Williams, Hunt County Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Judge, intends to seek re-election this March.

Williams was elected to the position in the November 2006 election.

State Representative for District 3 Mark Homer is in the midst of a tour through the district, officially announcing his candidacy for re-election.

So far Homer has drawn two republican opponents, Erwin Cain, an attorney from Hopkins County and Holland Harper, a businessman from Paris.

District 3 includes Hopkins,Delta, Franklin, Lamar, Titus and Red River counties.

A candidate can file for the March Republican and Democratic primaries anytime between December 3 and Jan. 4.
