Northeast Texas – A DWI indictment has been handed down to Community High School coach Benny Ray Smith by the Hunt County Grand Jury. It marks the fourth time Smith has been arrested for drunk driving.
A Sulphur Springs man died Sunday in a Denison hospital from injuries sustained last week in an automobile accident last week in Fannin County. 44-year-old Tommy Starrett was involved in an accident on Highway 11 near Randolph last week after a truck ran a stop sign and struck his vehicle. Starrett was the music minister at Central Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs.
