The Ark-Tex Council of Governments’ 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Program recognized Delta County’s dispatchers by presenting the Delta County Sheriff’s Office with gifts and a certificate of appreciation in light of National Telecommunicators Week.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office’ Communications Supervisor Sue Ann Johnson was also given a certificate honoring her service and contributions. It was presented by the 9-1-1 program manager, Sandie Embrey.
National Telecommunicators Week is on April 13-19. During this week, the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and give life-saving assistance to people in distress are honored.
