Arrests made for cocaine possession and child endangerment

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – A Commerce man and woman face separate felony charges stemming from the same strange incident early Wednesday.

A man had reportedly left his car parked at a convenience store with the music playing extremely loud and an officer was called to the scene. Upon arrival, he noticed a quantity of cocaine in plain view, and the man was arrested on drug charges.

The man's girlfriend was then arrested after arriving on scene to retrieve the vehicle. Shortly thereafter, officers received a call about a child wandering in the street, which turned out to be the woman's. She was arrested for child endangerment.
