Assault may be tied to Paris house fire

Paris – Police in Paris are investigating some unusual circumstances surrounding a Wednesday afternoon fire that left a residence heavily damaged.

The home in the 2700 block of Bonham St. was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival by the fire department. Strong winds forced firefighters to turn to defensive tactics, protecting all exposures and houses in the neighborhood.

According to police, the investigation has uncovered that a disturbance of some sort had taken place at the residence before the fire began. No was injured from the fire, however, one person did sustain minor injuries from an apparent assault.

The investigation into the disturbance and fire in still ongoing and the actual cause of the fire is currently unknown.
