Commerce – Commerce police have issued a press release concerning an attempted abduction of a 13 year old girl over the weekend. The incident occurred near the 1200 block of Live Oak Street Sunday when the suspect pulled up along side the victim and tried to lure her into his car. He followed her for about two blocks but left when she refused to get into the car.
The suspect is described as a short, black male in his mid-20's with quote-scraggly hair. He was driving a small dark blue or black 2-door car with a clean interior and stock rims.
Detectives are working with the victim to produce a sketch of the suspect.
