ATV wreck kills Hopkins County man

Pine Forest, TX – A Hopkins County man was killed over the weekend after wrecking an ATV just west of Highway 269 near Pine Forest.

State Troopers say 31-year-old Josh Highfield was pronounced dead at the scene.

Highfield was riding the four-wheeler with his eight-year-old son and failed to negotiate a curve.

His son suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
