Authorities release name of deceased motorist

CUMBY - State Troopers have identified a Memphis, Tennessee man as the victim of a deadly Monday morning crash near Cumby.

41-year-old Edward Lee Richardson was said to be driving along westbound Interstate 30 near the 109 mile marker when he struck a concrete barrier, overcorrected and rolled his vehicle. Richardson was ejected from the vehicle, and pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been sent for an autopsy.

A passenger, 29-year-old Carl Grandberry, also of Memphis, was transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. His condition was unknown.

Crews were on scene for several hours Monday clearing the area and rerouting traffic onto the service road.
