FANNIN COUNTY - Bones discovered by a Fannin County landowner are believed to be of human remains.

KXII-TV reports that the Sheriff’s office says the bones were found last Wednesday on the man’s property in the southern part of the county.

The Texas Rangers are now involved and the remains have been sent for testing at a forensic lab. It was not known who the person could have been, how they died or when.

Sheriff’s officials have notified area family members of missing people to avoid speculation.
