An autopsy has been ordered for a body discovered in Greenville during the weekend.
Meanwhile, police officials are still waiting on final autopsy reports concerning a body found earlier this month in the municipal reservoir system.
The Greenville Police Department responded Sunday to a report of a dead body located in a field behind a business at 2912 Wesley Street. The deceased was identified as Michael Lewis Haught, 36, of Greenville. The cause of death was not obvious and Judge David McNabb ordered the body sent to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
The police department is reported to be continuing the investigation and no additional details were released concerning the death as of Tuesday.
City of Greenville Public Relations Liaison Autumn Barton said Tuesday that a cause of death had yet to be determined for Matthew Alexander Paris, 42, of Greenville.
Paris’ body was found Sept. 6 on the western side of the Municipal Reservoir No. 4 and was also sent off for an autopsy, the results of which Barton said were still pending Tuesday afternoon.
“That is still listed as pending by the medical examiner,” Barton said of the cause of Paris’ death. “They are still waiting on the toxicology results.”
