Autopsy shows Rockwall man victim of slaying

By Scott Harvey

Franklin County – Authorities have determined the identity of a body found in the trunk of a burned out vehicle nearly two weeks ago.

Sean Andrew Lam, of Rockwall, was the owner of a liquor and beer store in Newsome in Camp County.

The vehicle was located in a secluded area of southern Franklin County north of Winnsboro. District Attorney Martin Braddy says Lam was last seen leaving the liquor store late on the evening of Friday, May 20, a day before the burned vehicle was found.

Authorities have ruled out theft and robbery as motives for his death.

The Texas Rangers, Franklin and Camp county sheriff's deputies, the state fire marshal's office and Rockwall Police are continuing the investigation.
