Bank President earns Citizen of Year title

Sulphur Springs – About 700 people were on hand during Thursday's 85th Annual Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce membership banquet, which featured guest speaker former Wildcat and NFL Hall of Famer Forrest Gregg.

Alliance Bank President Tom Sellers was named the Citizen of the Year, while Lady of the Year went to Pauline Hayden.

Agriculturist of the Year was awarded to Humphrey and Humphrey Dairy and Care Giver of the Year was Jennifer Roberts.

North Hopkins ISD Coach and High School Principal Jim Westbrook received Educator of the Year.

Farmers Electic Co-Op was named the Large Industry of the Year, and A&S Air Conditioning was the Small Business of the Year.

The Growth and Renewal Award went to City National Bank and the winners of Community Pride Awards were the Sulphur Springs Rotary Club and League Street Church of Christ Clothing Room.

Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year was Mike Horn.
