Basketball playoffs tonight!

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce – The A&M-Commerce women's basketball team hits the hardwood at the A&M-Commerce Field House tonight to tip off the Lone Star Conference Tournament. The ladies will be hosting Tarleton State. If the women win, they'll clinch home court advantage throughout the tournament.

And that's a good thing. The ladies have lost just one game at home in this record-breaking season. The Lions are led by Kanani Marshall, who just secured her second straight LSC Player of the Week award and has 126 three-pointers on the season, which is 3rd most in NCAA Division II history.

The action starts at 7pm tonight in the field house. The President's Office and Dean of Students of A&M-Commerce have also combined to buy tickets for the first 250 A&M-Commerce students to show for the game.

Meanwhile, the men will be on the road to face West Texas A&M in the LSC Tournament.
