Commerce – The Big Event is this Saturday in Commerce. It will be the eighth year the City and A&M-Commerce have come together to improve the appearance, facilities, and safety in Commerce.
From 8am to 1pm Saturday, Hunt county Environmental representatives will once again sponsor a clean-up at the County Barn on North Bois d'Arc Street. Materials such as paint, household chemicals, batteries, car tires, and scrap metal will be accepted for disposal, with labor on-hand to help unload trailers.
The Commerce Fire Department will be installing smoke detectors for anyone that needs them free of charge.
And The Masonic Lodge will also be furnishing a stew lunch for all the volunteers at the City Park with live music also provided.
