Birthday Party For Jesus Planned In Cooper

Eighth Annual Birthday Party for Jesus arrives in Cooper on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Delta County Civic Center. This free event is open to the community. There will be music, cupcakes, cookies and games.

Organizer Hollie Roberts has been busy collecting donations for the annual event. She has created a Facebook event page to keep the public updated on the new items for the event. She has many door prizes provided by the community.

“Watch the streets of Bethlehem come alive as you travel through the Marketplace!” said Hollie Roberts, in promotion of the Happy Birthday, Jesus event. “There will be something for all ages! We hope to see you there!”

The free event includes games, crafts, live entertainment, cotton candy, popcorn, bounce house, face painting, cupcakes, punch, train rides, puppet shows and door prizes.

Special appearances include Inka the Clown, McGruff the Crime Dog and Sparky the Fire Dog. Roberts just updated the entertainment lineup for the Birthday Party: Crimson River Cowboy Church, Shawna Spangler and Tim Lowery, LiSher Dancers, Cross Clown Puppet Ministry, Stephanie Crowder, Deandria Wilkins, God's House of Deliverance Youth and Facing East.

Guests are encouraged to wear their Shepherd Accessories and Biblical Costumes, if available.

“Taste the fine bread at the bakery, while traveling the streets of Bethlehem,” invited Roberts. “Children and Adults, alike, will also be able to celebrate the Birth of the King.”

The Delta County Civic Center is located at 221 E Bonham Ave, Cooper, Texas 75432. Everything is free.
