Bond reduction hearing set for Wills Point man

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A Wills Point charged with murder is set to appear in court soon to see if a judge will reduce his bond.

43-year-old Lanny Dean Campbell has been in the Hunt County Jail since Jan. 31, but has not yet been indicted in connection with the death of James Michael McKinnis.

Campbell was appointed an attorney on Feb. 2. He'll appear in court Monday on a request to reduce his $1 million bond.

Reports show the Hunt County Sheriff's Office and Quinlan Police responded on Jan. 30 to a call of shots fired at a home in the 2400 block of Cottonwood in the Waco Bay subdivision.
